I would like to preface this by saying that I find Nightcrawler and Wolverine to be equally cool characters. Sometimes you’re in the mood for a swashbuckler, sometimes you’re in the mood for a ninja, they play really well off each other and whenever they’re on a team with each other, awesomeness will ensue.

    That being said.

BULLSHIT Wolverine is less subtle at combat than Nightcrawler. Wolverine’s the ninja. Nightcrawler’s main combat power is based around loud noises and a strong smell of sulfer. That opening scene of X2 has always pissed me off because Nightcrawler shouldn’t be stealthy. He’s flashy and cocky. He’s fuzzy Errol Flynn. Everything about his character is X2 is off. He’s so mopey and sad when he should be bubbly and happy. Wolverine is a character who can go through angst. It never works with Nightcrawler. His positivity is what makes him great.

Also Hugh Jackman is way more awesome than Alan Cumming. Hugh Jackman never made Son of the Mask.

The JLA is the Miami Heat of the comic world: amazing team on paper, but the superstars are all too big to coexist and really do anything of interest.
