An Exclusive Interview with Rick Remender

Rick Remender was kind enough to allow us an impromptu interview at Stumptown Comics Fest 2011. For those of you not familiar with Rick’s work, you’d be surprised to see all of the features and outlets that he has dabbled his creative talents in. Before he became a renowned comic book author he was an animator on such films as; The Iron Giant, Titan A.E., and The Adventure of Rocky and Bullwinkle. He has even be known to lend his unique skills to create album art for bands like; NOFX, 3 inches of blood, Lagwagon, and No Use for a Name. (All bands you should check out, by the way.)

Back to the nitty-gritty of this article. Rick Remender is now an exclusive comic creator. He has crafted some amazing pieces of literature and has been published by comic companies from the major (MARVEL), to the median (Dark Horse), to the independent (IDW). With a slew of titles and characters under his belt, there is a very exciting and prolonged future for Rick. Enjoy the interview as Rick Remender supplies insights into the comic industry and drops a few hints about the upcoming events in ‘Uncanny X-Force’ and the X-Men Universe, along with some news about his book, ‘Venom’. Also, be sure to check out these titles from him; Last Days of American Crime, Uncanny X-Force, Fear Agent, Venom, XXXombies, and many other worthwhile reads.
